The other day I went to my great aunt Ernie Sue's funeral. Imagine my surprise when I walked in to see two of my cousins....from the other side of my family. We all looked at each other in horror for a moment. Then, we tried to put the pieces together. You see, it's actually not as bad as it sounds. But, it kinda is. Lucky for Cole, these are distant cousins and we're related by marriage on one side and blood on the other. Whew...that was close.This also explains the reason my cousins and I all married men from outside Carroll County. The gene pool there is obviously getting a little full. Based on the photo above, four generations, and things look ok.
